Summary:
Supervisor Laboratory Services positions fall into one of the following categories/areas: Pathology Services, Point of Care Testing, Laboratory Reference Testing or any Laboratory section. Each position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising daily operations of its assigned areas. Assures that quality services are delivered with high reliability in conjunction with the respective physician leadership and management teams.
- Registration Certification in a clinical healthcare field that includes clinical registration or certification in a diagnostic discipline. Examples may be Cytotechnologist, Histotechnologist
- Bachelor of Science degree in Allied Health or a related degree.
- Three 3 or more years of healthcare experience.
Additional specific minimum required qualifications by position:- Point of Care Testing supervisor role:
- Registration Certification in a clinical healthcare field such as Clinical Lab Scientist, or Medical Laboratory Technician.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Allied Health or a related degree.
- Three 3 or more years laboratory experience.
- Customer service orientatedStrong public speaker/trainerRequires use of excel, word, power point and Point of care software ( strong computer skills)
- Travel required- within an hour radius of LGH
- Leadership skills
- Problem solving skills
- Clinical Interdisciplinary teamwork
- Develop technical polices
- Oversee laboratory regulatory requirements
Credentials:- Medical Lab Scientist ASCP (Required)
- Registration/Certification in a clinical healthcare field that includes clinical registration or certification in a diagnostic discipline. Examples may be Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS), American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or Cytotechnologist, or Medical Laboratory Technician required.
- Driver's License (Required)
Education or Equivalent Experience:
- Bachelor of Arts or Science (Required)
- Education Specialization:
Bachelor of Science degree in Allied Health or a related degree.
Equivalent Experience:
•3+ years Three (3) or more years of healthcare experience.
•3+ years Three (3) or more years laboratory experience.
•3+ years Three (3) or more years in principal area of oversight.
•Previous supervisory experience.
