Supply Chain: The Supply Chain function is essential to Tropicana Brand Group's success by enhancing operational efficiency, reducing costs, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality products. By improving warehouse operations, optimizing transportation routes, and refining inventory management practices, the team plays a critical role in streamlining processes. Collaborating with other departments to align strategies, the Supply Chain team ensures that Tropicana meets customer demands while maintaining a high standard of performance and cost-effectiveness. Through their efforts, they contribute to both short-term achievements and long-term growth.

Your Next Pour: The Opportunity

Responsible for overseeing the daily activities of 7 union maintenance employees (3 electricians, 4 mechanics) supporting the Jersey City DC Monday-Friday, 1st and 2nd shifts. Accountable for maintaining >95% uptime on all automated pallet handling equipment optimizing the current SAP CMMS while achieving ZERO accidents within the Plant Maintenance Department. Tasked with controlling maintenance costs to align with the overall site budget. Supervise outside contractors ensuring completion of all work on time and within budget.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Plan and schedule maintenance and repair activities by tracking "mean time between failures" and maintenance backlog on "critical" warehouse equipment.
  • Maintain ZERO stockouts within the spare parts stockroom by optimizing MRO process within the SAP CMMS.
  • Create all maintenance related PREQ's for non-stock parts and maintenance services.
  • Provide job specific training to promote continuous improvement opportunities for all plant maintenance personnel.
  • Drive Maintenance & Reliability initiatives focused on Preventive & Predictive Maintenance to reduce/eliminate unplanned equipment failures.
  • Establish maintenance procedures for automated equipment to ensure Warehouse Operations meets/exceeds productivity glidepath.
  • Develop and maintain key maintenance KPI's.
  • Partner with EHS Manager to develop and maintain associated departmental safety standards.
  • Develop maintenance personnel OT budget by reviewing repair & maintenance backlog daily and identifying "weekday" vs. "weekend" priorities.
  • Active member of the Facility Safety Council.
  • Active member of the Food Safety Team.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule.

The Perfect Blend: Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in an industrial maintenance environment.
  • Associate's degree in a Technical Discipline a plus.
  • Knowledge SAP CMMS (Workorder, MRO, PREQ modules).
  • Familiar with 480v, 120v electrical systems.
  • Experience with low pressure hydraulic and compressed air systems.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA ,GMP; and AIB standards.
  • Ability to plan, develop, and monitor work schedules and maintain critical spare parts inventory.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills to solve complex problems in a timely manner.
  • Ability to identify and solve administrative problems.
  • Ability to enforce company policies in a union environment.
  • Ability to train and supervise union employees.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple job assignments.
  • Ability to maintain maintenance records, prepare reports, and compose correspondence related maintenance KPI's.
  • Ability to set and communicate departmental performance goals and objectives.
  • Ability to establish and maintain favorable inter office relations.
  • Knowledge of Storm Water and SPCC regulations a plus
  • Supports EHS in CRTK submittals and chemical inventory
