EXAMINATION PROCESS
(A) Training and Experience Evaluation:
Candidates meeting minimum entrance qualification to compete in this examination will be invited to the Qualified Appraisal Interview.
(B) Structured Oral Interview - Date: Tuesday September 1
The structured oral interview will contain exercises and questions that assess technical knowledge and experience, and ones general fitness for successful performance in the position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
MINIMUM ENTRANCE QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Graduation from a recognized college or university with a Bachelors of Arts/Science Degree in a related field. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
Experience: Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in multilingual learner, English Learner, instructional support, or educational program administration, including experience leading projects, programs or staff.
Licenses/Certifications/Special Requirements
Valid California Driver License *Alternate variations of education/experience may be considered by Personnel Commission staff as acceptable to qualify for participation in the examination process resulting in an eligibility list. When appropriate additional work experience beyond the minimum requirement may be supplemented for required minimum education requirements.

VISION CARE INSURANCE: District-paid coverage for family vision insurance.
HOLIDAYS: Up to fifteen paid holidays per year; N/A for Assistant Superintendent, Business Services.
LIFE INSURANCE: District-paid coverage for life insurance.
SICK LEAVE: One day per month, cumulative from year to year (employees working less than 12 months shall earn sick leave on a pro rata basis).
VACATION: 22 days/year; No vacation accrual for Assistant Superintendent, Business Services
SALARY STEP MOVEMENT: Anniversary date until top step is reached; N/A for Assistant Superintendent, Business Services.
AUTOMOBILE ALLOWANCE: $335/month for Director/Department head positions; $500/month for Assistant Superintendent.
DOCTORATE DEGREE: Additional $798/Year.
LONGEVITY COMPENSATION: Upon completion of 19, 24, and 29 years of service from the hire date, employees receive an additional $823/year on the salary schedule; N/A for Assistant Superintendent, Business Services.
RETIREMENT: Employees are covered by Public Employees Retirement System (PERS) and Social Security. Contributions are made by both the employee and employer. Click to visit Public Employees Retirement System(CalPERS) website.
