The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University''s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

The Supervisor, Nevis Operations will be responsible for ensuring delivery of all maintenance services

Responsibilities

  • Ensure delivery of all maintenance services across facilities.
  • Direct mechanics and groundskeepers in performing building system repairs, preventive maintenance, and landscaping tasks.
  • Inspect contracted work, corrective maintenance tasks, and construction/improvement projects to confirm compliance with client expectations, specifications, and contracts.
  • Approve completed work for payment after verifying accuracy and quality.
  • Identify maintenance needs and assign staff to maximize the efficient use of resources.
  • Direct first response to service requests, assessing urgency, and determining the appropriate level of response.
  • Support and implement University and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies, tools, and equipment to ensure availability.
  • Interpret and administer collective bargaining agreements for assigned staff.
  • Coordinate with Special Events to arrange and prepare physical areas for scheduled events.
  • Perform other related duties as required or assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor''s degree and/or the equivalent required. A minimum of 3-5 years of related experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Conversant in statutory requirements of New York City and how they relate to building management.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Must be available for snow removal.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in business management and delivery of maintenance in a customer service environment.
  • Strong familiarity with building HVAC.
  • Mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural systems are highly desirable.
