Summary:


The supervisor uses clinical and management skills to maintain accountability for management of fiscal and personnel resources in the delivery of nursing care within an assigned area of responsibility. The supervisor is responsible to the director of nursing for carrying out the functions in this position description. Must be skilled in the provision of patient care to infant through adult patient populations. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.

Qualifications:

  • Required: Acute Care: Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing Bachelor of Science in Nursing
  • Currently licensed to practice professional nursing in the State of Ohio
  • Minimum of three to five years of progressive clinical nursing experience with management responsibilities
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal, verbal/written communication, delegation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Physical Demands: May need to move around intermittently during the shift, including sitting, standing, stooping, bending and ambulating.
  • May need to remain still for extended periods, including sitting and standing.
  • Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email and other communications. Ability to read job related documents. Ability to use computer.
