Qualifications:Master's Degree from a recognized college/universityValid New Jersey Supervisor, School Administrator or Principal certificateMinimum of 5 years of successful teaching experienceStrong knowledge of content and current pedagogical practicesLeadership in school improvement, program development and curriculum integration and application of technology across the curriculaAbility to plan, organize and administer a professional development program within the school communityAll other qualifications that the Board may find appropriate to the positionPerformance Responsibilities:Provide leadership in the continuous and focused study of the curriculum, affecting those improvements both in quality and scope to enhance the instruction in grades PK through 8. The prime purpose shall be the direction and coordination and evaluation of the total learning experience to promote continuous, integrated scope and sequence of instructionProvide leadership in the development of the PK-8 curricula of all subjectsServe as a RVRHS liaison Provide professional direction through observation and evaluations of instructional personnel both present and newSupervise the design and implementation of the district new teacher/mentor programConduct formal and informal classroom observations and annual summary evaluationsReview lesson plans regularly and provide supervision and evaluation that includes meaningful feedback to strengthen and sustain instruction/performanceAssist teachers in developing professional growth plans (i.e. PDP, SGO) designed to align with school goals, enhance classroom practice, and promote student growthEncourage and develop leadership capacity of staffAssist in the development, organization, and coordination of in-service professional development programs and State Mandated District Plan for the improvement of instruction. Report and monitor outcomes of the Plan.Develop a systematic approach to programming and the assessment and adoption of textbooks/instructional materials and provide recommendations to the CSA/Principal and School Business AdministratorAssist in the development and coordination of the sections of the budget that pertain to curriculum and instructionWork with the Chief School Administrator/Principal, Assistant Principal and Special Services Supervisor in the coordination of school-wide student activitiesRecommend professional development, instruction workshops, study groups, school visitations, and professional conferences which are in the interest and effort of improved instruction, relative to assigned content areas and grade levelsCollaborate with teachers in the analysis of student achievement data and assessments.
