POSITION SUMMARY:

Robbinsville Public Schools is seeking a dynamic and experienced Supervisor of Elementary Curriculum & Instruction and ESL. This role is essential in ensuring the development and implementation of a robust curriculum that meets the diverse needs of our elementary students, including Multilingual Learners (MLs) across the district. The supervisor will oversee curriculum design, instructional practices, and the integration of ESL programs to promote academic excellence and equity.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of the elementary curriculum across all subject areas.
• Ensure the curriculum aligns with state standards and district goals.
• Integrate best practices and innovative instructional strategies to enhance student learning.
• Provide leadership and support to elementary teachers in effective instructional practices.
• Conduct classroom observations and provide constructive feedback to teachers.
• Organize and deliver professional development sessions to improve teaching skills and content knowledge.
• Supervise the District's ESL program to ensure compliance with federal, state, and district policies.
• Develop and implement strategies to support MLs in achieving academic success.
• Monitor and assess the progress of MLs and adjust instructional approaches as needed.
• Oversee the administration and analysis of student assessments to inform instructional decisions.
• Use data to identify trends, gaps, and areas for improvement in the curriculum and instruction.
• Report on student progress and program effectiveness to district leadership and stakeholders.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and other stakeholders to support student learning.
• Serve as a liaison between the school district and parents, providing information and resources related to curriculum and ESL programs.
• Promote a positive and inclusive school culture that values diversity and encourages academic achievement for all students.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid New Jersey K-6 Teacher Certification
• Valid NJ ESL endorsement
• Valid New Jersey Supervisor or Principal Certification.
• Minimum of five years of elementary teaching experience
• Experience with curriculum development and ESL program management.
• Strong knowledge of instructional best practices and current educational research.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: 12-month employee BARGAINING UNIT: RPSA SALARY: Commensurate with experience and bargaining unit guidelines
