Program: Special Education - Behavioral Intervention

Description: This position will implement and maintain special education programs and services in conformance with state and federal laws; provide written support and/or convey information; serve as a resource to parents, IU, and district personnel; and maintain adequate staffing to ensure objectives of programs and services are achieved within budget. Supervisors will oversee, operate, and evaluate special programs in accordance with the Commonwealth's Special Education Plan for children whose exceptionalities are outlined in Pennsylvania Special Education Specific Standards.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in special education or related field
  • Pennsylvania Special Education Supervisory certificate or Principal (K-12) certificate REQUIRED, along with Principal certification preferred
  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years of successful teaching or administrative experience in Special Education
  • Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, ADA, and federal/state special education regulation
  • Experience with IEP development, due process procedures, and MTSS implementation
  • Strong skills in staff supervision, evaluation, and professional development
  • Effective communication and collaboration with staff, families, agencies, and community partners
  • Ability to plan, manage, and monitor budgets, staffing, and resources for special education services
  • Proficiency with student information systems and instructional technology
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Commitment to equity, inclusion, and fostering positive learning environments for students with disabilities

Terms of Employment: Full-time, 260 days/year (12 month schedule)

Salary: Act 93 contract; + an excellent benefits package
