Work Schedule: Full Time, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)
Shift: Days
Pay: $29.54 - $44.31 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant''s relevant experience
This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option
Summary:
Supervises daily staff activities for ophthalmic clinical support team.
Responsibilities:
- Determines, coordinates and supervises daily staffing assignments and levels including the supervising of onboarding, coaching and mentorship programs. Assist with career conversations and disciplinary actions.
- Supervises quality measures for ophthalmic clinical work-up and facilitates staff develop programs. Ensures staff compliance with clinical work-up competencies and protocols.
- Supervises the core-process administered by Clinical Coordinators and oversees the work of the Ophthalmic Preceptors.
- Performs staff responsibilities related to ophthalmic clinical work-ups to fulfill required service levels. Leads the handling and resolutions of complex issues and complaints.
- Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
Requirements:
- Ophthalmic Scribe Certified
Certified Ophthalmic Assistant
Certified Ophthalmic Tech
Certified Ophthalmic Medical Technologist
National Contact Lens Examiner Certification
Minimum Education: High School diploma or GED. 3 years sponsored training on the job, or ophthalmic internship
Required Licensure/Certifications: Ophthalmic Scribe Certification, (OSA) or Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) or Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) or Certified Ophthalmic Medical Technologist (COMT) or National Contact Lens Examiner Certification (NCLEC).
Minimum Experience: 2 years of supervisory experience. 3 years sponsored on the job ophthalmic training, or ophthalmic internship. Preferred: 2 years of high intensity customer service experience.
Preferred: Bachelor''s degree.
BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
