WhatYou’llDoRelationship Development – 25%

  • Partner closely with other Horizon Media teams (Business Solutions, Investment, Traffic, Operations), building cross team relationships and incorporating relevantextensions

  • Own relationships with key partners during planning process, including Partners and Creative Agencies

  • Proactivelyanticipatesand fields requests/questions from internal teams andclients

  • Apply knowledge of current/previousclients’ specific business and industry to enhance and furtherrelationships

  • Effectively build trust andestablishpositive relationships withclients

  • Collaborate with Associate Director and Director toidentifyproblems and recommend solutions, escalatingsituationsor challengesappropriately

  • Lead larger team projects and initiatives, iterating and improving upon processes and workflows asfit

Social Media Strategy & Buying Oversight – 20%

  • Supervise RFP creation and review of social partners, proposal analyses, and partnernegotiations

  • Lead strategic social plan development in tandem with the Digital & Business Solutionsteams

  • Integrate social insights into overall planning process, incorporating data, research, and analytics into recommendationsin order todeeply understand the role marketplace media plays in larger mediaobjectives

  • Drive team brainstorms to kick off plan and consideration setdevelopment

  • Develop POVs around relevant trends, tools, and emerging opportunities within paid socialmedia

  • Own creation and development of media specific documents such as media plans,objectivesand strategies decks, and other related functions

  • Oversee the completion of internal team and client facing financial trackingdocuments

  • Manage Quality Assurance (QA) of tracking functionality and creative units toidentifyand solve anyissues

  • Provide education on best practices, social media principals, and industryat large

Team Development & Management – 20%

  • Manage and develop junior team member(s), creating growth plans and providing clear careergoals

  • Manage performance reviews, coaching to maximize success,identifyingtraining needs for improved performance, setting goals for careerdevelopmentand ensuring actions aretaken

  • Provide education and training on best practices, media principals, and industry at large

  • Participate in interview process for junior team members roles

  • Guide team in setting goals and project tasks and timelines, ensuring team members have challenging, level-appropriate projects and opportunities to learn new skills, contributing to overall teamsuccess

Campaign Management & Execution – 10%

  • Oversee junior team campaign buying from set-up to keywordselectionthrough to targeting buckets, optimization, and pacing/reporting; implement QAprocesses

  • Guide planner in campaign set-up, including testing methodologies, reporting requirements, and optimization requirements, for ensuring full impact and efficiency of eachcampaign

  • Support in measurement planning and ensure all trafficking and site tagging isaccurateby junior teammembers

  • Maintain thorough knowledge in all internal buying and reporting tools, including platform interfaces and native tools for application/analysis into competitive landscape, target digital consumption support, plandevelopmentandreporting

  • Oversee and provide approval of insertion orders within internal systems tool to reserve advertisingspace

Social Media Planning – 10%

  • Manage the development of proposals for paid social media campaigns across active clientroster

  • Create and present media specific documents such as RFPs, media plans,objectivesand strategies decks, and other relatedfunctions

  • Responsible formaintainingteam deliverablescalendars

Reporting– 10%

  • Maintain oversight ofjunior team member’sdata analysis andcorrespondingclient feedback toproviderecommendations andoptimizations

  • Act as final check point for campaign optimization and pacing, escalating challenges andopportunitiesasneeded

  • Lead in development of processeswith Horizon Analyticsto aggregate data and ensure standardization acrossHorizonaccounts

  • Oversee aggregation ofdata for dashboards/Excel trackers, as needed by account, ensuring accuracy and validity of datashown

  • Determineset-up, including testing methodologies, reporting requirements, and optimization requirements, for ensuring full impact and efficiency of each campaign,proactively communicate any issues to internal teams orclients

  • Parse through large datasets to provide critical thinking and analysisrelativeto active client campaigns, coaching junior team members onprovidingrecommendations vsresults

Learning & Development –5% 

  • Attend agency learning sessions and vendormeetings

  • Take initiative, as applicable, as it relates to leading and presenting internaltrainings

  • Participate in internal learning and development opportunities (e.g.Facebook Blueprint, Twitter Flight School)

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • 3+ yearspreviouspaid social media experience

  • Understanding ofmarketing principles,analyticsand concepts

  • Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint skills

  • Experience buying ads on Facebook and Instagram is crucial,additionalplatformspreferred

  • Exposure toadvanced targeting/retargeting tactics in social

  • Comfort owning and managingbudget/investment levels in socialmedia

Salary Range

$90,000.00 - $105,000.00
