The Supervisor Perioperative Material supervises the ordering, receiving, storage and distribution of all supplies used before, during and after surgery. This position oversees that all perioperative instrumentation and equipment is kept in good repair and that adequate inventory is maintained in a cost effective manner.
Essential Job Function:
Manages appropriate inventory levels for instrumentation, equipment, and implants utilized before, during and after surgery.
Supervises all shipping and receiving of equipment and supplies.
Oversees and monitors systems utilized for ordering, stocking, and replenishing supplies.
Ensures supply storage meets accuracy, cleanliness, and organization standards in each stocking location.
Monitors the utilization supply management tools to capture, track, and reconcile supply usage.
Reviews inventory records for accuracy and timeliness.
Manages supply levels for units to ensure cost efficiency, item expiration compliance and appropriate stock.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education:
Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
Required: 3 years of experience in healthcare materials management or other related supply chain field.
