Starting wage rage for this position: $49,000 to $55,000 (final salary dependent on experience)
Job Description Summary: This position is responsible for ensuring efficient and cost-effective operations of the extrusion, die-cut and print areas.
Essential Functions: • Manage manufacturing activities to meet or exceed established manufacturing costs, customer specification and quality requirements. • Ensure production deadlines are met. • Ensure departmental performance measures are achieved. • Ensure production schedule is achieved. • Provide daily progress reports. • Provide leadership, supervision, and development opportunities to direct reports. • Displays proficiency in duties of all direct-reports. • Ensure all work in process (WIP) is properly identified. • Ensure all employees times are properly assigned to production manufacturing orders. • Implements continuous improvement programs using problem analysis and resolution skills. • Works independently, efficiently manages time, and uses experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. • Employ effective, respectful and persuasive spoken and written communication skills. • Ensure compliance with work instructions and/or Quality Management System (QMS) procedures. • Ensure adherence to all current company policies. • Ensure effective employee relations. • Ensure effective staffing, wage, development and performance decisions. • Maintain highest levels of ethics and confidentiality. • Maintain a safe work environment for yourself and others including wearing mandatory Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). • Functions effectively in a fast paced, diverse, team environment. • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: • Associates Degree or equivalent experience. • Previous manufacturing experience. • Previous supervisory experience. • Ability to operate basic computer equipment and peripherals as well as company standard software. • Able to effectively perform all basic mathematical functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages.) • Ability to effectively read, interpret and communicate industry and customer specific documentation. • Problem analysis and resolution skills. • Working knowledge of all production equipment. • Satisfactory completion of a criminal background check. • Verified eligibility for employment in the United States. • Valid state-issued driver's license.
Environment and Physical Demands: • Work during non-traditional hours (weekends and evenings) may required. • Frequently works in a typical factory environment (high noise levels, machinery, conveyors, dust, chemicals, odors and temperature fluctuations). • Occasionally works in a typical office setting which includes;
• Lift up to 50 pounds. • Physical mobility requirements. • Frequently walk, stand, crawl, climb, twist, grasp and pinch. • Specific vision required.
