As a Supervisory Public Utilities Specialist, you will play a central leadership role at the heart of our strategic mission. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
A qualified candidates resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as performing all of the following:
1) Leading a team of professional staff, which includes duties such as assigning and reviewing work; managing employee performance by conducting evaluations and providing feedback; and guiding staff training and career development; 2) Overseeing the administration or management of complex, long-term service or sales contracts. This includes providing technical guidance on contract implementation and performing financial analyses related to contract performance, pricing, or rate structures; and 3) Serving as a representative for an organization in collaborations with internal leaders and external partners, such as clients or business partners, to resolve complex business or technical issues and achieve strategic objectives.
"Experience" refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
