Summary:
Manages inspection activities within Production areas to ensure product quality standards are maintained and customer requirements are met. Provides overall guidance of inspection activities to ensure resources are appropriately utilized. Maintains and effective employee unit through appropriate team training, development, and performance evaluation.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize technical knowledge of PCBAs and industry standards to make timely and accurate decisions regarding product acceptance.
  • Certified IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 and wire harness IPC/WHMA-A-620.
  • Must have prior experience within Printed Circuit Board Assembly.
  • Understands requirements and oversees inspectors work to ensure product quality requirements are met.
  • Manages the identification, segregation, and documentation of nonconforming material as documented in production by all personnel.
  • Review and improve existing inspection processes, tools, and systems.
  • Coordinate priorities from internal customers to meet department goals.
  • Participate in discussions with customers and/or auditors as required.
  • Participate in cross departmental/divisional projects related to inspection activities.
  • Lead or participate in a continuous improvement activities.
  • Adhere to company, site, and department policies and procedures.


Other information:
• 4-year college degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience as approved by executive management.
• 5+ years of electronics manufacturing experience; 2+ years related to inspection activities per IPC-610 and/or JSTD-001.
• Experience with printed circuit board assemblies preferred.
• Ability to make independent judgments using inspection principles and techniques as learned through IPC/JSTD certifications.
• Effective multitasking skills and the ability to take on additional responsibilities as required.
• Demonstrate effective communication, both written and verbal.
• Demonstrate high attention to detail.
• Demonstrate discretion, confidentiality, independent judgment, and professionalism.
• Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills with customers and employees.
• Effective planning, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to support overtime and weekend work as required.
• Demonstrate the ability to operate on diverse project teams with direction.

Bilingual in Vietnamese and English a strong plus.

Compensation Range: $77,300.00 to $96,625.00 USD. Many factors are considered in compensation decisions, including but not limited to skills, certifications, licensures, experience, training, incumbent data, and other business needs.
