Job Summary

Professional registered respiratory therapist with expert knowledge and clinical skill who assists with overall operation of the Pulmonary Diagnostics and Respiratory Therapy Disease Management departments to ensure quality and compliance of all policies, procedures, and regulatory agencies. What you will do:

Provides leadership and oversight of departmental operations and staff.

Manages staffing, scheduling, performance reviews, and employee development.

Ensures compliance with policies, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.

Oversees department performance, outcomes, and daily operations.

Collaborates with leadership and other departments to support organizational goals.

Provides patient care as needed.

Schedules patients and coordinates workflow as needed.

Assists with and oversees DME discharge planning

Qualifications

A degree in Respiratory Care from an accredited respiratory care program is required; minimum associate degree or the equivalent as defined by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).

Must have two years experience as a Respiratory Therapist in a clinical role. Must have a thorough knowledge and understanding of all procedures, indications, contraindications and hazards involved in respiratory care, as well as knowledge of equipment utilized in their department. The incumbent must be able to demonstrate the ability and knowledge required to utilize computers for patent documentation and data gathering for quality care. Must have demonstrated leadership skills and abilities.

Must have current Respiratory Therapy licensure in the state(s) of practice and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges as required by position. Must have Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentials as attained through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) and maintain active status according to NBRC credentialing requirements. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required. Must obtain role specific specialty credential(s) such as Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), etc. within six months of hire into position and maintain credentials.
