    Pay Range: $54,678 – $65,878 annually
    Schedule: Full-Time | Exempt | Onsite

    Scenic Operations Supervisor | Lead. Build. Deliver Exceptional Scenic Experiences.

    Are you a scenic production leader who thrives on organization, efficiency, and bringing large-scale event environments to life? Event EQ is seeking a Scenic Operations Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our scenic warehouse and fabrication shop in Columbia, MD.

    This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who understands scenic fabrication, warehouse flow, live event production timelines, and how to keep projects moving on schedule and within budget.

    What You’ll Be Doing

    As Scenic Operations Supervisor, you will lead the operational and fiscal performance of the scenic warehouse and shop, ensuring projects are executed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards.

    • Operational Leadership: Establish and maintain SOPs across fabrication, prep, QC, protection, shipping, and de-prep while overseeing daily warehouse and shop operations

    • Project Alignment: Attend production meetings, coordinate pile walks with Operations, and ensure clear daily and weekly task lists for QC and show prep leads

    • Pull and Prep Oversight: Partner with the Scenic Coordinator to establish pull and prep schedules and reconcile all activity within R2 for accuracy and accountability

    • Inventory Integrity: Support R2 pull list accuracy and maintain strong inventory control standards

    • Labor Management: Schedule and supervise warehouse staff and over-hire labor based on project demand while communicating staffing needs proactively

    • Budget and Efficiency Focus: Manage labor allocation, workflow efficiency, and material usage to reduce waste, improve turnaround times, and maintain fiscal responsibility

    • Safety and Compliance: Maintain an organized and safe work environment in alignment with OSHA standards and company policies

    What We’re Looking For

    • Experience: 5+ years in scenic fabrication, warehouse management, or live event production

    • Leadership: Prior supervisory or team leadership experience preferred

    • Systems Knowledge: Proficiency in R2 or a similar inventory management system

    • Financial Acumen: Experience managing department budgets and cost controls

    • Certifications: OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred

    • Core Strengths: Strong organizational skills, communication, problem-solving, time management, adaptability, and attention to detail
