Description
Position Summary: Maintains policies and programs to ensure physical safety of the casino's guests, employees and property and assets; complies with New York State Gaming Control Board security requirements and the casino's internal controls.

Salary: $67,500 to $82,500
Essential Job Functions:
Ensures compliance with operational procedures for activities such as guest service standards, fire prevention emergency response, guarding and patrolling the physical property, orienting and monitoring of personnel inside and outside the facility, and investigation of accidents and criminal acts inside and outside the facility
Supervises and manages security officers assisting with guest interactions and transactions as needed
Responsible for developing criteria and suitability for future candidates
Consults with representatives of management to recommend policy changes, determines need for programs and training, and coordinates programs with the casino's goals and objectives and regulatory requirements
Directs activities of workers involved in workplace safety programs
Ensures compliance with all regulatory controls externally including but not limited to state and federal labor laws and the New York State Gaming Commission Regulations and guidelines
Reviews and approves all Security personnel performance
Hires, trains, and manages staff in accordance with organizational and approved departmental policies, practices, and programs
Performs all other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Must be 21 years of age or older
Associates degree preferred
Two or more year's related experience preferred
Previous supervisory experience preferred
Gaming leadership experience preferred
Knowledge of state gaming regulations, safety and security practices and protocols
Background and knowledge of security operations, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, safety, investigation, and legal issues
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent leadership/motivational skills
Excellent organization and planning skills
Excellent knowledge in various computer programs including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
Available to work flexible shifts, weekends, and holidays
Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licensing
Working Conditions:
Regularly required to see, walk, talk and hear; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms
Ability to work in a noisy environment
Must occasionally lift to 25 pounds
Able to work with others while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor
