Description

Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking to fill a Supervisor role for our client, a leading manufacturer of high quality medical devices, in their Sheet Metal Fabrication departments. The position will lead approximately 10-15 employees across the department; this is a direct hire opportunity.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide progressive leadership across multiple departments

  • Develop and communicate daily and weekly production plans, ensuring alignment with the overall shop schedule

  • Prioritize and stage workflow for laser, press, punch, and shear operations to meet production targets

  • Monitor and drive individual operator productivity as well as overall department performance goals

  • Partner with programmers to optimize CNC programs and maintain scheduling adherence

  • Collaborate with Production Planning and peer supervisors to maximize throughput and efficiency

  • Cross-train operators on multiple pieces of equipment to build a flexible, skilled workforce

  • Develop and document departmental best practices and standard operating procedures

  • Support new part development by working with Engineering and Programming on designs and programs

  • Oversee the identification and resolution of non-conformances to maintain quality standards

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of progressive leadership experience in a metal fabrication environment

  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to motivate and develop a team to exceed performance expectations

  • Proactive mindset toward continuous improvement, planning, and operational efficiency

  • Technical aptitude for CNC cutting and forming equipment, familiarity with Trumpf brand machines is a plus

  • Experience with ERP systems for production control and recording preferred

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions

  • Proficient in basic computer skills, solid math skills including arithmetic and geometry

Pay:

  • $28-40/hr DOE

Schedule:

  • Monday - Friday 6:30am-3pm + overtime
