BROAD FUNCTION:
Under the direction of the Director of Pupil Services and Special Education (hereafter Director) and in harmony with the policies of the Board of Education, and Federal, State and Local Laws and Regulations, the Supervisor of Pupil Services and Special Education(hereafter Supervisor) implements state/federal statutes and regulations pertaining to IDEIA (Individuals With Disabilities Education Improvement Act) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act*, for special education and related services, FERPA (Federal Education Rights & Privacy Act), provides professional development and consultation to special education and pupil services staff that relate to the department's responsibilities under these statutes/regulations. The supervisor also performs related assigned duties as assigned by the Director.
REPORTS TO: Director of Pupil Services and Special Education
SUPERVISES: Selected special education and pupil service staff
