Specific Job Duties and Responsibilities
Experience -Progressive experience in petrochemical and/or refinery operations or industrial safety equipment industry. Experience in Fire Protection Services, Respiratory Protection, and Gas Detection is preferred.
Lead experience or supervisory training with an understanding of human relations, training, performance evaluation, and health and safety. Ability to determine human resources and equipment needs as a project matures and to coordinate resources among districts to achieve maximum profitability, efficiency, and utilization.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook and other database software. Ability to quickly learn new software applications utilized by the company.
Other Required Skills, Knowledge or Abilities: Ability to read and interpret technical procedures, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and commitment to safety. Understands the hazards of any job they are required to oversee. Understands role in the prevention of occupational illness and injury through teaching and enforcement of safety and health rules, procedures and work practices.
Above average organization, communication and interpersonal skills required to interact with multiple internal, external & executive contacts.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. Ability to speak Spanish, or other second language considered a plus.
Financial aptitude with a grasp of business concepts and exposure to budget preparation and cost control.
Thorough knowledge of Total Safety products and services provided in the contract.
Working knowledge of customer business and industry with the ability to define specific and/or special customer needs to satisfy the needs of the customer.
Knowledge of contracts and scope of service. Ability to plan and execute job preparation, briefing/debriefing, problem prevention, and corrective action and follow-up.
Ability to prepare accurate and timely documentation including billing, compliance, customer communication, and satisfaction reports and quality assurance and/or safety alert issues.
Required Licenses or Specific Training: Current driver’s license from the state of residence, and valid proof of vehicle insurance. Must possess good driving record and be insurable by Total Safety US, Inc. insurance providers for vehicle insurance while driving a company truck.
Must have or be able to obtain a valid TWIC card.

Constant contact with customers, operations, sales, and other internal TS staff to furnish and obtain information and resolve issues. Must be responsive and at times persuasive with internal and external contacts.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, stoop and bend. Uses hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
Combination of office and field/production environments. Some exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, outside and extreme weather conditions, moving mechanical parts and high elevations. Travel to and from customer sites.
Reporting Relationships
Nature of Supervisory Responsibility: Oversees day-to-day operations. Initiates and communicates personnel actions (hire, fire, job/salary changes, performance, disciplinary actions, etc.
The complexity of Duties and Decisions: Must be prepared to handle a variety of situations in changing environments. Plans and carries out the project objectives, resolves most of the conflicts, coordinates work with others and interprets policy on own initiative. Must identify source of problems and present well thought out, workable solutions.
Authority: Typically works with limited supervision. Objectives, priorities and deadlines are defined. In consultation with manager, develops deadlines, projects, and work to be done. Assistance is given with unusual situations that do not have clear objectives. Plans and carries out successive steps and resolves problems and deviations in accordance with instructions, policies, and accepted practices.
