Job Summary
The Nevada DIVISION OF CHILD AND FAMILY SERVICES (DCFS) is seeking applicants with a passion to make a difference in the lives of Nevada's Children! The Nevada DIVISION OF CHILD AND FAMILY SERVICES (DCFS) is recruiting for a Treatment Home Supervisor to be located in Sparks, NV. This position provides care, training and treatment to adolescents with behavioral and emotional disturbances in a 24 hour/7 day a week residential setting at a Psychiatric Treatment Facility North, PRTF North. Youth served by PRTF North are designated as Severely Emotionally Disturbed (SED) and exhibit significant behavioral challenges including physical and verbal aggression, non-compliance, challenges to authority figures, school problems (academic and behavioral), peer and social difficulties, and family issues. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work directly with youth and adolescents teaching basic living and social skills. The selected candidate will supervise the daily operations of a residential treatment program, create a schedule and ensure adequate staff to client coverage. The selected candidate will train and supervise staff members to ensure compliance with treatment model implementation as well as help to develop program protocols and policies. The selected candidate will work as a team with other professionals and parents to help develop youth goals and programs. The selected candidate will facilitate groups that will focus on aggression replacement training, problem solving, and empowerment skills. This position is responsible for completing the admission paperwork, writing progress notes, and organizing team meetings. This is a full-time position that includes a variable work agreement with overtime after 40 hours per week. This position will be required to work evening and weekend hours. Treatment Home Providers provide care, training, and treatment to children and adolescents with behavioral and emotional disturbances in a 24-hour, 7-day a week treatment home setting.
Essential Qualifications
Four or more years of applicable experience as described in the job duties with a minimum of one-year supervisory experience preferred and a Bachelor's degree in a field of study applicable to the job duties.
