Description
Summary
The Warehouse Supervisor plans, administers, and supervises the warehouse workforce to complete daily warehouse activities and to meet daily productivity standards. Ensures that a safe and healthy work environment is maintained.
Responsibilities
Supervises warehouse employees to ensure daily shipping and receiving activities are completed
Audits outbound freight to ensure correct merchandise is being shipped
Controls the equipment inspection process to ensure the equipment is safe and in working condition
Inspects the warehouse fire equipment to ensure all regulations are met
Plans and executes projects as directed by the Regional Distribution Center Manager
Trains warehouse workers in regard to warehousing activities
Maintains accurate time keeping for warehousemen, and pre-authorizes overtime.
Plans, schedules, and supervises all dock and staging area activities
Works closely with inventory control to ensures inventory accuracy by monitoring product movements, confirming location usage and auditing inventory movement
Frequently audits warehouse activity to make sure all internal safety requirements are being met as well as OSHA guidelines are being followed by employees and anyone working on site

Strong team player
Ability to read, write and communicate in English to the degree necessary to perform the job
Proficient computer skills and with Microsoft Office
Experienced forklift operator - multiple types of machines and multiple types of attachments is a plus
Education and Experience
Two to Three years of experience in warehouse operations and inventory control environment
Solid understanding of shipping and receiving processes are required
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Experience with RF devices and a solid understanding of a WMS is preferred
Two to Three years experience supervising a diverse team in a fast paced environment
