  • Supervises the daily operations of the Pueblo Distribution Center by planning, assigning, directing, and evaluating the work of assigned staff to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of customer requirements.
  • Manages administrative and financial operations, including budget execution, purchase requests, purchase card transactions, billing, payroll support, and monitoring expenditures to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Coordinates customer fulfillment and inventory support activities by serving as the primary POC for customers, vendors, and suppliers, resolving operational issues, and ensuring products and services are delivered within established timeframes.
  • Evaluates operational performance by analyzing production data, workflow, costs, quality, and efficiency, and recommends process improvements to enhance mission effectiveness and reduce operational costs.
  • Leads personnel management activities by assigning work, establishing priorities, evaluating employee performance, identifying training needs, ensuring compliance with labor-management policies, and fostering employee development.

Qualifications

To qualify for the Supervisory General Supply Specialist, PG - 2001 - 9, you must meet the following requirements:

Specialized Experience:

Applicant must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the PG-07 level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in other pay systems that equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of this position. Examples of qualifying specialized experience include:

  1. Lead, coordinate, or train employees engaged in supply, logistics, inventory, distribution, or administrative operations by assigning or coordinating work, providing technical guidance, monitoring workflow, and ensuring work is completed accurately and within established time frames.

  2. Perform administrative and financial support activities such as monitoring budgets, processing billing transactions, tracking expenditures, preparing purchase requests, reconciling financial records, or supporting purchase card or payroll functions while ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.

  3. Analyze operational processes and customer service activities by reviewing workflow, inventory records, production data, financial reports, or operational metrics; identifying problems; and recommending improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.

OR

Education:

A) Applicant must possess a masters or equivalent graduate degree related to the work of the position

or

B) Must possess 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

C) Possess a LL.B. or J.D., if related.

or

D) Possess a combination of graduate-level education and experience that meets the requirements by at least 100%.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement (08/27/2026) to be considered.

Substitution of education in lieu of specialized experience may be used for this grade level.
