Project Description:
Engage in litigation support, focusing on significant writing and legal research. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise paralegals and support staff on major projects.
- Ensure work meets contract and attorney requirements and is delivered on time.
- Perform quality control spot-checks and troubleshoot issues.
- Develop systems for managing case files and materials.
- Assist trial staff with expert witnesses and litigation consultants.
- Coordinate with data processing support staff to accomplish tasks.
Education:
- Paralegal certificate, JD, or currently attending an ABA-accredited law school with at least one year completed.
Required Skills:
- Minimum of three years of litigation paralegal experience, including trial experience.
- At least one year of experience in automated litigation support.
- Supervisory experience with strong communication skills.
- Knowledge of federal and state court systems and legal research resources.
- Proficiency in legal research tools like LEXIS and Westlaw.
- Familiarity with computer applications such as word processing, databases, and spreadsheets.
- Understanding of eDiscovery procedures and resources preferred.
Preferred Skills:
- Ability to manage larger teams and processes.
- Provide guidance and feedback to staff.
- Excellent legal writing skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
