The Student Success Center is seeking a dynamic and student-centered Supplemental Instruction Manager to lead and oversee a comprehensive Supplemental Instruction (SI) program that supports undergraduate student success. This highly collaborative leadership position is responsible for managing a team of Supplemental Instruction Peer Leaders who provide course-specific academic support and promote positive academic decision-making through self-regulated learning strategies. The Supplemental Instruction Manager plays a critical role in advancing student learning, retention, and degree completion while coordinating large-scale academic support initiatives, including course-specific finals support programs. Primary Duties

  • Lead all aspects of the Supplemental Instruction Program, including recruiting, training, supervising, and evaluating Supplemental Instruction Leaders.
  • Supervise one or more Graduate Assistants and approximately 170 student staff members, fostering a high-impact student employment experience.
  • Develop and implement strategies that enhance student engagement, academic achievement, and overall program effectiveness.
  • Support the personal and professional growth of student staff through coaching, mentoring, performance feedback, and leadership development.
  • Build and maintain collaborative partnerships with faculty, academic departments, and campus stakeholders to support undergraduate student success.
  • Coordinate Finals Support initiatives and other academic success programs in partnership with Student Success Center colleagues and Peer Leader Programs.
  • Administer Supplemental Instruction services for courses with high D/F/W (Drop, Fail, Withdraw) rates, helping improve student persistence, retention, and degree completion.

Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Student Affairs, Higher Education, or Counseling.
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience coordinating and assessing student or academic programs in a higher education setting, preferably including supervisory experience.
  • Pending graduates will be considered if all degree requirements are completed by the date of employment.
