Summary & Qualifications:
Summary
The Test Proctor provides support for the day to day operations of both the Osterlin Testing Center and the Aero Park Professional Testing Center, which includes:
- Test proctoring for NMC and other institutions
- Administering placement, CLEP and DSST exams
- Proctoring exams for professional certifications
- Keeping accurate testing data
- Processing payments for testing
Test Proctors are not permitted to be taking NMC classes while employed in this position.
Qualifications
Required:
- One year of post-secondary education
- Two years related work experience
- Ability to organize and prioritize work
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience keeping and interpreting accurate, detailed data and information for reports
- Experience using Microsoft Office software (e.g. Microsoft Word®, Excel®, Power Point®)
- Applicant must not be enrolled in NMC classes
Preferred:
- Associates degree
- Experience using Google Apps
- Experience in testing or education
Essential Responsibilities
- Distributes, proctors, and collects course exams while maintaining confidentiality
- Administers Accuplacer, CLEP, and DSST exams
- Receive and maintain certification to proctor exams for professional testing candidates
- Administers professional certification exams for a variety of testing vendors
- Reports cheating/testing irregularity using NMCs reporting system
- Accepts and processes payment for tests
- Keeps accurate testing records
- Provides students with information on Testing Center guidelines and policies for computer usage and enforces these policies
- Checks out and maintains equipment and supplies
- Provides customer service by receiving calls and greeting students with a friendly welcome, information and direction
- Copy, scan, e-mail, and file documents
- Respond to requests for information, exercising discretion in obtaining and providing factual and confidential information related to office and College operations
- Type correspondence and other documents in Microsoft Word® and/or Google Docs
- Spreadsheet creation and data entry in Microsoft Excel® and/or Google Sheets
- Perform data entry and run reports as needed
- Maintains a clean, orderly environment for the students using the Center
- Completes projects assigned by Coordinator and/or Director
- Other duties may be assigned

Education and/or Experience
