The mission
Manage, plan, and coordinate a Quality Assurance program that ensures delivered products consistently meet customer expectations, with a primary emphasis on prevention.
How you will deliver
- Build a quality first culture by communicating clearly, modeling ownership and accountability, and teaching practical quality know how
- Serve as site lead for the QMS covering customer specific requirements, customer audits, internal auditing, ISO9001 and IATF16949 certification maintenance, calibration, GR&R and MSA, PPAP, APQP, controlled document management, and management review
- Engage early in new product introductions to update QA and control plans prior to mass production
- Make performance visible through KPIs and lead cross functional teams to root cause and implement countermeasures on Cost of Quality, Non Conforming Material Generation, Abnormals, Customer Complaints, and Expired or Off Spec Inventory Management
- Elevate sub supplier quality via QMS audits, ensuring alignment to NPAA requirements and quality standards, and manage SCARs from initial investigation through effective root cause determination and corrective action
- Interpret and consistently enforce company policies, holding teams to standard
- Recruit, train, promote, and manage performance while establishing departmental goals
Experience that fits
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline preferred
- 10 plus years preferred in the automotive coatings industry covering Technical, Quality, or Operations Quality favored
- Previous supervisory experience required
- Proven project management and cross departmental process improvement execution
- Standards and compliance background with ISO9001 and IATF16949; lead auditor preferred
- Strong problem solving for customer complaint RCA and continuous improvement or kaizen

Salary range
$89,985.14 to $149,403.00 annually. Compensation for this role is negotiable based on experience and skill set.
