Supplier Coordinator

Location: Onsite

Position Type: Contract (September thru December)

Schedule: Monday–Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm

Pay: $25.00 to $30.00/hr BOE

ROLE IMPACT

As a Supplier Coordinator, you'll serve as the vital link between suppliers, production, purchasing, and logistics. Your ability to proactively manage purchase orders, monitor inventory levels, and resolve supply chain challenges will directly support production schedules and customer satisfaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Place purchase orders with suppliers accurately and on time

• Analyze MRP demand and replenish inventory to support production requirements

• Monitor supplier confirmations and estimated delivery dates for open purchase orders

• Maintain daily and weekly purchasing activities using LeanDNA Workbench

• Ensure accurate receipts and transactions within the Great Plains (GP) ERP system

• Execute purchase order adjustments based on MRP exception messages

• Communicate with suppliers to prevent overdue purchase orders and delivery delays

• Escalate supply risks and material shortages when necessary

• Review monthly forecasts and communicate future demand to suppliers

• Coordinate with Warehouse, Logistics, and Accounts Payable to resolve delivery and invoice discrepancies

• Support inventory reduction initiatives and continuous improvement projects

• Attend production meetings and collaborate across departments to ensure operational success

REQUIREMENTS

• Must have 2+ years of experience in Purchasing, Planning, Inventory Control, Customer Service, Shipping/Receiving, or Production

• Must have 2+ years of experience in working in MRP systems and inventory management

• Must have 1+ Lean Manufacturing & Kanban Replinishing experience

• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

• Proactive mindset with strong problem-solving abilities

• Leadership qualities and a collaborative, team-oriented approach

• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and professionalism

• Spanish Bilingual language a plus
