Supplier Engineer

General responsibilities will include:

• Evaluates suppliers for materials, finished goods, and contract manufacturing
• Performs audits and capability assessments to evaluate supplier qualifications and compliance.
• Monitors performance and compliance utilizing a variety of methods including key performance indicators including delivery time, quality, and communication

• Review engineering drawings, specifications, material requirements, and process needs.
• Assist in the procurement of materials and finished goods to support manufacturing, quality, and cost objectives.
• Works with Engineering to ensure supplier capabilities align with product and process requirements.

• Prepares RFQs, analyzes supplier quotations, and supports departmental purchasing efforts.
• Negotiates pricing, contracts, lead times, and service agreements.

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering; other Degrees may be considered with additional experience
• 3+ years of experience in a Supplier Engineer, Purchasing Engineering, or Sourcing Engineer role
• Strong mechanical aptitude, understanding of basic engineering principles
• Experience utilizing an ERP and or MRP systems; MS Office experience preferred
• Excellent communicative and organizational skills
