Job Title: Supplier Quality Advocate (Program Representative)
Location: Philadelphia, PA (On-site)
Overview:
This position reports to the Focus Factory Program Supervisor and supports Strategic Sourcing oversight within Supplier Quality. The Program Representative will serve as a key quality lead onsite at the Strategic Sourcing Focus Factory in Philadelphia, PA, acting as a secondary point of contact to Quality Management in Quonset Point and Groton for contracted work performed at supplier facilities. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with Electric Boat processes, procedures, and contractual requirements through consistent oversight, self-surveillance, and self-assessment activities.
This role requires close collaboration with Quality Management, NDT and Welding Engineering, Inspection, Audit & Assessment, Operations, Deckplate Engineering, and the Strategic Sourcing Program Office. The Program Representative will also support program reviews and status meetings with the Program Office, Government stakeholders, and Supply Chain Management.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead all Quality efforts at the Focus Factory and act as a primary contact for Quality Management in Groton and Quonset Point
Report on and provide recommendations regarding Focus Factory performance and overall quality health
Ensure day-to-day procedural compliance
Support mentoring and learning on the deckplate
Participate in Quality Briefings
Ensure qualifications are maintained and procedure changes are properly communicated
Support development and reporting of quality-related metrics
Collaborate with Operations and Strategic Sourcing Program Office to understand project/work status
Attend daily Plan of the Day and Turnover (or equivalent) meetings
Support analysis and resolution of unplanned events
Maintain a questioning attitude and uphold exact compliance with quality standards
Represent Quality in cross-functional team environments to help meet Navy and Electric Boat goals
Communicate clearly and professionally, including the ability to critique work effectively
Understand business systems and construction requirements to identify downstream and upstream impacts of decisions
Responsibilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products
Familiarity with Electric Boat business systems, processes and procedures that support ship construction
Excellent verbal communication and technical writing skills
Position requires a self-motivated individual that excels in dealing with ambiguity
Strong analytical ability and attention to detail
