Supplier Quality Engineer 2 – Gulfstream Aerospace | Savannah, Georgia Supports supplier quality performance across the Gulfstream supply base, partnering closely with Engineering, Operations, and Procurement to ensure suppliers meet quality system, regulatory, and performance expectations while driving continuous improvement.What You'll Do Support the supplier quality and inspection system by ensuring delivered products and services comply with approved quality system, regulatory, and type design or repair station requirements.Manage supplier compliance through system, product, and process audits in accordance with company policy and federal aviation regulations.Assess and certify supplier quality systems, personnel, processes, and equipment against applicable quality standards.Coordinate quality assurance plans, audit schedules, acceptance test programs, and quality engineering requirements for assigned suppliers.Lead Supplier Corrective Action and Preventive Action activities, ensuring timely, effective, and closed‑loop resolution.Promote continuous improvement, APQP principles, and Lean methodologies at suppliers to reduce variability and improve process control.Develop supplier metrics and scorecards to evaluate risk, performance, and overall supplier health.Lead supplier performance and quality focus meetings, communicating progress and risks to cross‑functional teams and leadership.What You Bring Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Aviation Sciences, Quality Systems, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Two years of technical related experience in a manufacturing environment or repair and overhaul facility.Working knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations, quality system requirements, and blueprints or specifications.Experience supporting supplier quality activities, audits, and corrective action processes.Strong communication skills with the ability to influence suppliers and collaborate across functions.Additional Qualifications Aviation & Powerplant license may be used in combination with four years of related experience.ASQ certification (CQE) and/or experience as a FAA recognized designee highly preferred.Understanding and communication of blueprints/specifications; Federal Aviation Regulations; Quality Control System Requirements; knowledge of manufacturing/fabrication techniques and processes.Computer literate; capable of working within the various software applications utilized throughout the enterprise.Experience in a Supplier Quality capacity highly desirable.Working knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma principles (certification preferred).Knowledge of APQP principles preferred.Equal Opportunity Employer Gulfstream is an equal opportunity employer.
