Supplier Quality Engineer - DOE/Nuclear

Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for a Supplier Quality Engineer-DOE / Nuclear opportunity.

Work Location: Columbia, SC (Hybrid flexibility may be available)

Supplier Quality Engineer-DOE / Nuclear - (Full-Time/Part-Time)

The Supplier Quality Engineer will support supplier quality and procurement activities to help ensure materials, equipment, services, and associated documentation meet applicable project and quality requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Support supplier qualification, evaluations, audits, surveillances, and ongoing supplier oversight.
• Review procurement documents, specifications, Statements of Work, and supplier submittals for applicable quality requirements.
• Perform or support supplier quality surveillances and inspections, including verification of hold and witness points.
• Review supplier quality documentation, inspection records, certifications, and other objective evidence for compliance and completeness.
• Support resolution of supplier quality issues, nonconformances, corrective actions, and documentation deficiencies.
• Coordinate with Quality Assurance, Engineering, Procurement, Project Management, fabrication personnel, and suppliers.
• Assist with development or revision of quality procedures, inspection plans, procurement quality requirements, and related documentation.
• Support NQA-1 quality program implementation and compliance activities.
• Travel to supplier locations may be required depending upon project needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous DOE, nuclear, or NQA-1 quality experience strongly preferred.
• Experience in Supplier Quality, Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering, Procurement Quality, or Supplier Surveillance.
• Working knowledge of ASME NQA-1 and quality requirements applicable to nuclear/DOE projects.
• Experience reviewing procurement documents, supplier documentation, inspection records, or quality records.
• Supplier audit, surveillance, inspection, or qualification experience is highly desirable.
• Strong written communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively with engineering, procurement, suppliers, and project quality personnel.
