As a Supplier Quality Engineer at Reviva, you'll be a vital part of our Supply Chain team, ensuring the exceptional quality of components used in our remanufactured engines. Your primary focus will be to qualify new parts for production, requiring an in-depth understanding of diesel engine components. You'll develop quality tests, define acceptance criteria, and collaborate closely with vendors to resolve any issues. This role demands not only significant technical expertise but also exceptional organizational and communication skills to manage multiple projects and foster effective relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
Responsibilities:
Qualify new parts for production by developing and implementing comprehensive quality assurance procedures, including new material qualification processes.
Conduct thorough reviews and inspections of incoming materials, leveraging your technical knowledge of diesel engine components to validate their fit, form, and function before use in production.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring new parts are tested efficiently and issues are escalated proactively using strong project management skills.
Collaborate with the Purchasing team to identify optimal suppliers through data-driven analysis.
Ensure all new parts are properly tagged, monitored, and rigorously scrutinized throughout the production process.
Inspect new parts that fail in-house, determining the appropriate course of action based on your technical assessment.
Communicate effectively with vendors regarding quality issues, leading supplier corrective action requests (SCARs) to resolution.
Monitor and report on supplier performance, ensuring SCAR documentation is completed to prevent the recurrence of defects.
Act as a key liaison between the Warranty department and vendors for customer complaints related to supplier-provided materials.
Analyze data to identify trends in product quality or defects, actively working to mitigate and prevent future supplier issues.
Required Skills & Abilities:
In-depth technical knowledge of diesel engine component parts is essential.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively serve as a liaison across operations, new product development, customers, and suppliers.
Strong organizational skills and the proven ability to manage multiple complex projects concurrently while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
Three years of related industry experience required.
Physical Demands:
Periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Extensive time walking on the shop floor.
