We are seeking a Sr. Supplier Quality Engineer II to support the Supplier Quality organization at our Grand Rapids, Michigan manufacturing site.
The Sr. Supplier Quality Engineer II will be responsible for monitoring supplier performance, resolving supplier quality issues, supporting quality initiatives, and driving continuous improvement across suppliers supporting the Cardiac Surgery portfolio.
The Grand Rapids manufacturing site produces approximately 600 products, including cannulae and beating heart devices. This role will work closely with Engineering, Operations, Supplier Quality, and external suppliers to resolve technical and quality issues, implement corrective and preventive actions, support supplier development, and maintain compliance with quality system and regulatory requirements.

Ensure suppliers consistently deliver quality parts, materials, and services that meet company requirements.
Monitor supplier performance and identify opportunities for quality and process improvements.
Investigate and resolve supplier-related quality issues throughout the product and manufacturing lifecycle.
Lead and support root cause investigations and Corrective & Preventive Actions (CAPA).
Manage or support nonconformances, deviations, change controls, and other quality investigations.
Develop and prioritize supplier audit schedules.
Conduct or support supplier audits to ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and applicable quality standards.
Evaluate supplier processes and internal functions to assess overall performance and capability.
Communicate supplier quality expectations, performance feedback, and improvement opportunities.
Partner with Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, and Supplier Quality teams to resolve technical problems.
Support supplier development and continuous improvement initiatives.
Analyze quality data and supplier performance trends and recommend process improvements.
Provide technical guidance, coaching, and support to other quality professionals as needed.
Manage assigned projects and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve quality objectives.
Maintain compliance with applicable quality systems, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Supplier Quality Management & Supplier Performance Monitoring: Experience evaluating supplier performance, managing supplier quality issues, and driving supplier quality improvements.
Root Cause Analysis & CAPA: Ability to investigate supplier-related quality issues, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
Quality Systems & Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of quality management systems and quality system requirements within a regulated manufacturing environment.
Hands-on product problem-solving experience.
Experience with CAPA, nonconformance, change control, deviations, and GMP.
Experience using TrackWise or similar QMS software.
Strong technical engineering background in Mechanical, Industrial, Operations, Biomedical Engineering, or a related discipline.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline required.
Minimum 4 years of relevant professional experience, ideally in supplier quality, manufacturing quality, or a related engineering function.
An advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience may also be considered.
