Join a growing aerospace and industrial distribution organization as a Supplier Quality Engineer, where you'll drive quality excellence across supplier management, customer requirements, and operational processes. This role will lead corrective actions, continuous improvement initiatives, quality system enhancements, and cross-functional projects that support compliance, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Description

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for customer and contractual quality requirements, ensuring accurate flow-down across operational and procurement teams.
  • Interpret customer specifications, quality clauses, and compliance requirements to support business operations.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve quality procedures, inspection standards, work instructions, and training materials.
  • Support contract review activities and provide guidance on heightened inspection requirements.
  • Coordinate customer source inspections and serve as a key quality contact for customer interactions.
  • Maintain and continuously improve the Quality Management System in accordance with AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015 requirements.
  • Lead corrective action investigations using methodologies such as 8D, PDCA, Fishbone, and 5 Whys.
  • Manage CAPA activities and verify the effectiveness of corrective actions.
  • Establish visual management systems and participate in daily quality reviews and operational meetings.
  • Develop inspection processes and train quality personnel on inspection and compliance requirements.
  • Investigate nonconforming material and drive containment, disposition, and corrective action activities.
  • Monitor quality metrics, analyze trends, and recommend process improvements.
  • Manage supplier corrective actions and evaluate supplier responses for effectiveness.
  • Support supplier qualification programs and maintain supplier performance metrics.
  • Review First Article Inspection Reports and quality documentation as required.
  • Lead RMA investigations and root cause analysis efforts to improve customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Procurement, Product Management, Asset Management, and Operations teams to improve quality performance and business results.
  • Drive Lean and continuous improvement initiatives focused on waste reduction, process capability, and operational excellence.

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • 3+ years of quality engineering experience within aerospace, manufacturing, distribution, warehousing, or other regulated environments.
  • Strong knowledge of AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015 quality systems.
  • Experience leading root cause investigations and corrective action programs.
  • Hands-on experience with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Knowledge of PFMEA, control plans, Poka-Yoke, process capability analysis, and Gage R&R methodologies.
  • Experience managing supplier quality programs and supplier corrective actions.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Experience working with ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive results without direct authority.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred.
  • Must meet ITAR U.S. Person requirements.
