As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring our suppliers deliver high-quality products and services that meet our stringent requirements. This is a dynamic role with opportunities for growth and impact Key Responsibilities: + Evaluate and assess supplier performance, identify areas for improvement, develop and implement corrective and preventive action plans through implementation and closure, ensuring timely and effective resolution of quality issues. + Conduct supplier audits, champion Structured Problem-Solving efforts with Suppliers, perform Production Process Verifications (PPV s), and participate in PPAP review processes. + Analyze supplier defect/performance data and utilize analytical tools to identify trends and drive preventative measures. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Supply Chain, and Program Quality to proactively mitigate risks and ensure supplier compliance. + Champion a Zero Defect culture within the supply base. + Review and interpret technical documentation such as drawings, specifications, and requirements. + A self-starter/ problem solver who will utilize your analytical skills to find innovative solutions to quality-related issues. Able to work independently with the direction from leadership yet able to prioritize and coordinate own tasks with focus on achieving objectives. This position is 100% remote, but the selected candidate must reside in Chicago, IL or Los Angeles, CA. **Required Education, Experience, & Skills** + Bachelor's Degree and 2-4 years of experience or 6-8 years of experience in lieu of a degree + Possess Strong analytical and problem-solving skills + Communicates effectively at all levels of an organization with interpersonal relationship building skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills + Change agent driven towards Continuous Improvement and achieving Results + Read and interpret technical documents, as well as a working knowledge of GD&T + Proficiency in MS Office Suits (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). + Experience with 8D/RCCA activities + Strong technical background in a specific commodity area, result-driven, with a passion for supplier development, and a strategic mindset **Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills** + Direct knowledge of manufacturing processes and supply chain logistics from raw material to finished goods + QMS Lead Auditor certification . + Experience in Product Production Line Validation, test, equipment, instrumentation qualifications, and Measurement System Analyses + Working knowledge of the principles and the purpose of a Quality Management System (e.g. AS9100), AS9102 First Article Requirements, AS9145 APQP/PPAP Requirements, and Source Inspection + Familiarity with APQP and PPAP and process tools such as PFMEA and Control Plan + Practical experience with Lean Manufacturing and Lean Six Sigma, a Green or Black Belt certification from a recognized organization + Familiarity with industry or military standards + Working knowledge of subtractive and additive manufacturing processes such as Machining, EDM, Molding, Casting, 3d Printing, Composites, Injection Molding, and associated GD&T. + Current or recent certification in IPC-A-620 + Knowledge of connectors, cable assemblies and cable harnessing. + Knowledge of Interconnect processes and methods such as jacketing, crimping, thermal adhesion, connector termination, soldering, stamping and various plating methods **Pay Information** Full-Time Salary Range: $97008 - $164914 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
