Supplier Quality Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) to manage and improve the quality of materials, components, and services provided by external suppliers. This role ensures that all sourced items meet engineering specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements, supporting the integrity of the supply chain and the delivery of high-quality turbine products to customers and stakeholders.

The SQE leads supplier audits, qualification processes, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives across the global supply base. This role partners closely with Procurement, Engineering, Production, and Operations to prevent defects, reduce risk, and strengthen supplier performance in support of manufacturing operations.

Position Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Quality, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related field
• 3 to 7 years of experience in quality control, quality engineering, or manufacturing quality
• Experience qualifying suppliers in casting, machining, coating, welding, pipe fitting/joining, electrical systems, or advanced manufacturing
• Strong understanding of quality management systems (ISO 9001, AS9100)
• Proficiency in statistical analysis, quality tools, and problem-solving methodologies
• Experience conducting supplier audits and assessments
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in turbomachinery, rotating equipment, or gas turbine manufacturing
• Lean, Six Sigma, or quality certification (CQE, CQA, CSSGB, etc.)
• Experience with ERP systems and digital quality tools
• Expertise in design engineering to support manufacturability reviews
