Hire Type: Direct Hire

Target Salary: $70,000-80,000
Bonus/ Incentives/ Stock Options: up to 15% annual bonus

Job Summary: Responsible for evaluating supplier and product quality to ensure materials and components meet engineering, manufacturing, and customer standards. The Supplier Quality Engineer will investigate quality concerns, support corrective actions, and help drive continuous improvement across supplier processes and production operations.

Job Duties:

  • Review and evaluate supplier PPAP documentation, including warrants, PFMEA, process flow charts, and control plans
  • Partner with suppliers, production teams, and engineering to identify and resolve quality-related issues
  • Support supplier corrective actions and drive issue resolution activities
  • Evaluate critical components and assist with supplier qualification and approval processes
  • Coordinate with design engineering on part and assembly reviews when needed
  • Improve product quality and reduce defects using SPC, DOE, and Six Sigma methodologies
  • Collaborate with project teams to support timelines, deliverables, and quality expectations
  • Utilize SAP to review inventory impact and process required adjustments
  • Conduct supplier audits, develop improvement plans, and follow actions through completion
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing, quality, or engineering environments
  • Knowledge of manufacturing methods, production processes, and quality systems
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and ERP systems
  • Understanding of statistical analysis and quality assurance principles
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
