The Senior Supplier Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that the products (direct and raw materials) produced & meet the quality standards that are set. This role will work closely with suppliers, client receiving plants, and GSM to effectively manage the quality of the supplied materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage supplier quality performance, conduct supplier audits, and ensure supplier compliance with quality standards.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to identify and rectify quality issues. Use problem-solving techniques, Six Sigma tools, statistical analysis, and other methodologies to improve supplier quality.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers to enhance quality, reduce cost, and improve supply chain efficiency.
  • Supplier Development: Develop and maintain partnerships with suppliers. Train suppliers on quality requirements and monitor their performance.
  • Review supplier manufacturing processes, collaborate with engineering and procurement teams to define process parameters, and ensure that supplier processes meet quality requirements.
  • Ensure proper documentation of supplier quality data, audits, non-conformances, corrective actions, and quality tests.
  • Ensure suppliers comply with relevant regulations and standards in their products and processes.
  • Manage projects related to supplier quality, such as new supplier qualifications, process changes, and corrective action implementation.
  • Ensure product integrity by the execution of the product quality architecture strategy (APQP and IATF Core tools)
  • Perform Quality Systems, Process and Product Audits, using applicable Quality Standards and specifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of science in engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in quality assurance, quality engineering, supplier quality or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of quality systems and standards.
  • Proficient in quality-related tools and methodologies, such as Six Sigma, statistical analysis, etc.
  • Excellent problem-solving and project management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
