Carwild Corporation is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to ensure product and process excellence across our organization. This role applies quality principles to resolve issues, support new and sustained product development, lead investigations, and maintain compliance with regulatory standards. You will work on diverse quality challenges related to Quality Systems, Product Quality, and Supplier Management.

About the Role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented and proactive Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will partner closely with suppliers and internal teams to ensure that all materials, components, and processes meet the highest standards of quality, consistency, and reliability. You will play a key role in auditing, qualification, risk management, and continuous improvement across the supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

Supplier Audits & Qualification

Conduct on‑site and remote audits to assess supplier manufacturing processes and Quality Management Systems (QMS).
Lead the production qualification process to ensure new components and materials are ready for production.
Quality Issue Investigation & Prevention

Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) using tools such as 8D, 5 Whys, and Fishbone Diagrams.
Issue, track, and verify Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs) to ensure permanent resolution of issues.
Performance Monitoring

Manage supplier scorecards and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including defect rates (PPM), on‑time delivery, and cost of poor quality.
Support continuous supplier performance improvement initiatives.
Technical Collaboration

Interpret engineering drawings and collaborate with suppliers to enhance process capabilities.
Work closely with internal Supply Chain, Quality, and Production teams to support on‑time, high‑quality production.
Risk Management & Process Change Support

Contribute to the Risk Management Program, including reviewing and approving risk assessment documentation.
Develop evaluation protocols for new materials, equipment, process changes, and product design modifications.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field preferred.
3-5 years’ experience in supplier quality, manufacturing, auditing, or related roles.
Strong understanding of QMS principles and quality tools (8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa, CAPA, SCAR).
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Excellent communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
