Job Title: Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) Pay rate: $45.00-$55.00 per hour Location: Appleton, WI 54912 Shift: 1st / Full Time Employment Type: W2/Contract (6-month project that may get extended) #ARFF #SupplierQualityEngineering Job Summary: Belcan is seeking Supplier Quality Engineers (SQEs) to support Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) programs by improving supplier quality, delivery performance, and manufacturing flow. This role is embedded onsite within customer operations, with potential for direct hire. The ideal candidate has experience managing supplier quality issues, driving corrective actions, and supporting compliance and production continuity. Key Responsibilities: Supplier Issue Management * Triage supplier quality issues impacting production using defect data and inspection results * Drive containment, material disposition, and escalation to minimize disruption * Lead RCCA, 8D, and SCAR processes to ensure effective root cause and corrective action closure Supplier Performance & Coordination * Monitor supplier quality and delivery performance against production needs * Act as primary quality interface between suppliers and cross-functional teams (manufacturing, engineering, supply chain) * Develop and manage supplier KPIs/scorecards and drive improvement initiatives Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement * Review and approve First Article Inspection (FAI) documentation and support audits * Analyze non-conformance trends to reduce recurring defects * Support supplier development initiatives to improve long-term performance Required Qualifications * Experience in supplier quality and/or supply chain engineering * Strong knowledge of RCCA methodologies * Excellent attention to detail and communication skills * Ability to perform onsite supplier visits and audits * U.S. Citizenship required due to the nature of the work Preferred Qualifications * Experience with FAI processes * Background in heavy equipment and/or ARFF programs Belcan provides a competitive pay and benefits package.
