Supplier Quality Engineer Description Description - External Job Summary: Working with cross-functional commodity teams, the Supplier Quality Engineer represents the quality function in the selection of new suppliers, qualification of new suppliers and improvement of existing suppliers. Activities include conducting supplier quality system and process assessments, identifying and executing of process improvement projects, facilitating quality improvement education within the supply base, trouble shooting for quality issues, and establishing continuous quality improvement as a way of life within supplier facilities. Position Responsibilities: Conduct supplier audits to quality standards and in support of supplier selection and improvement. Drive effective root cause analyses and corrective action for Lycoming and its customers. Spearheads process improvement activities at supplier facilities. Facilitate preventative actions and supplier process control projects that improve quality of product delivered to Lycoming Engines. Compile and analyze data to make decisions to drive supplier quality improvement. * Provide a clear vision of supplier quality strategy and processes for supplier teams. Qualifications Qualifications - External Position Requirements: Education- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline. At least 3 to 5 years experience in a manufacturing or quality engineering environment.
