Job Responsibilities:

Education and/or Experience:

• Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Quality related field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience in a Quality Engineering role
• Strong leadership and team building skills, minimum 2 years in supervisory position with direct responsibility for staff preferred.
• Must be proficient with a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, and database software.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Quality team through daily work assignments, project management, training, and performance feedback.
• Lead supplier quality activities, including containment, investigations, APQP/PPAP support, nonconforming material management, corrective actions, and structured problem-solving to prevent recurrence of quality issues.
• Monitor and improve supplier performance through quality metrics, audits, cost recovery, and continuous improvement initiatives while driving timely issue resolution, process capability, and compliance with customer and business requirements.
• Drive supplier quality issue resolution through daily operations reviews, fast response processes, VOC management, and collaboration with quality, customer, and cross-functional teams.
• Maintain and improve quality systems by managing Paynter charts, quality mapping, CTQ controls, control plans, PFMEAs, audits, and warranty improvement initiatives to achieve quality objectives and customer requirements.
• Utilize data-driven quality tools and structured problem-solving methods (8D, A3, root cause analysis) to reduce quality costs, improve process performance, stabilize manufacturing processes, and meet KOI targets.
• Lead MAFACT, IATF 16949, supplier, and internal audit activities, serving as the MQS champion and ensuring compliance, audit readiness, and continuous quality improvement.
• Monitor and improve quality performance through capability studies, data analysis, QOS participation, and collaboration with employees, suppliers, and customers to drive process improvements and meet quality objectives.
