Job Description
This important role will execute Virginia Housing's first formal Supplier Management and Third-Party Risk program. As the organization's subject matter expert, the Enterprise Supplier Risk Analyst will oversee the entire vendor lifecycle from sourcing support and due diligence through onboarding, performance monitoring, and offboarding ensuring suppliers meet contractual, operational, cybersecurity, financial, and regulatory requirements. The position will design supplier governance frameworks, implement risk-tiering methodologies, and drive compliance with industry standards such as SOC 1/SOC 2, PCI, and ISO 27001. Working closely with Legal, Information Security, Risk, and business stakeholders, this role safeguards Virginia Housing's operations while delivering supplier value and mitigating third-party risks.

- Expertise in supplier management, contract lifecycle management, procurement processes, and cost/value analysis.
- Ability to read/interpret contracts, statements of work, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex information and make sound decisions.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- High degree of self-management, initiative, ownership, and comfortable as the sole subject matter expert for supplier oversight.
- Project management skills with the ability to manage multiple vendors, assessments, and deadlines simultaneously.
- Collaborative, relationship-oriented approach with the ability to build trust across departments.
The ideal candidate would also have experience in:
- 5+ years of experience in supplier management, procurement, purchasing, contract management, or third-party risk management within a regulated industry (financial services, insurance, housing finance, government entity, or similar), is preferred.
- Experience with supplier governance or TPRM programs strongly preferred.
- Experience working cross-functionally with Legal, IT, InfoSec, Risk, and business owners.
