Description
Job Title: Supply Analyst
Location: Fountain Valley, CA (100% Onsite)
Employment Type: Temporary (Approx. 3-4 months)
Pay: $25-$30/hr. DOE
Summary
The Supply Analyst plays a key role in managing the flow of parts sourced from both domestic and international suppliers. This position is responsible for ensuring optimal inventory levels, supporting high service fill rates, and minimizing backorders through effective forecasting, ordering, and supplier coordination. The role directly influences operational costs (such as freight and storage) as well as revenue performance by ensuring parts availability.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain accurate forecasts for assigned parts to support inventory targets and service level goals
Generate and manage purchase orders, including routine air/sea shipments, urgent orders, and new product launches
Monitor and proactively address dealer backorder reports, expediting orders as needed to reduce shortages and service disruptions
Coordinate the initial planning and ordering of parts for new vehicle models to ensure availability at launch and throughout early production phases
Track and manage supplier performance, including reviewing purchase order timelines and resolving delays
Maintain and update part master data, including inventory parameters, control codes, and supersession details
Analyze supply chain performance and recommend improvements to inventory planning processes and supporting systems
Support ongoing system enhancements through participation in testing and implementation efforts
Provide guidance and mentorship
