Supply and Logistics Specialist (Production Control Clerk)

Position: Supply and Logistics Specialist (Production Control Clerk) 

Type: Full-time 

Location:  Fort Rucker, AL 

Travel: 10% 

Position Summary: Supply personnel will provide management and oversight of supplies and logistics functions necessary to support the SERE school's daily operational requirements. Contractor duties are IAW U.S. Army SERE School SOPs and respective POI content. 

Duties and Responsibilities:   

• Conduct supply inventories 

• Track supply requests in the various Government automate supply and logistics systems 

• Assist with the maintenance and accountability of supplies 

• Assist the Commander, U.S. Army SERE School in the identification of supply requirements necessary to support the continued operation of the school 

• Conduct Property Book/Hand Receipt process and management and assist the US Army SERE Commander with identification of supply requirements to support program execution  

• Assist with the maintenance of all SERE issued equipment, to include the sewing and repairing/ensuring serviceability of equipment, operator-level maintenance. 

• Coordinate timely provision of supply requirements with Mission Support Lead and SERE supported Section leaders 

• Delivery of food and water 

• Submit status of all areas of responsibility in a weekly report 

Required Qualifications:   

• US Citizen 

• High School graduate or equivalent 

• Valid U.S. driver's license 

• Must hold an active Secret Security Clearance  

• Computer literacy with experience in Microsoft 360 (Word, Teams, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, etc.) 

• Basic knowledge of use and function of the Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-A), as its primary tactical supply, property, and maintenance management System 

• Work experience with Property Book Unit Supply Enhanced (PBUSE), a logistics and property accountability System  

• Prior experience dealing with commercial vendors 

• Must be able to access installation 

• Clear and effective verbal and written communication 

• Always present a professional and credible image 

Physical Demands and Work Environment: While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk, listen, and write. The employee frequently is required to use foot/ankle motions, hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is required to stand, walk, sit; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
