Description
Our Client, a Business Manufacturing and Supply company, is looking for a Supply Chain Analyst for their Hickory, NC location.
Responsibilities:
Use strong system skills, analytical abilities and business knowledge to examine the effectiveness of manufacturing and Supply Chain operations and to communicate conclusions. Determine scope of improvement projects; initiate and lead improvement projects as necessary. Develop reports and analysis for continuous improvement.
New system implementation projects and initiatives within the Supply Chain department
Support packaging and warehouse activities, including process improvements in shipping and receiving, optimizing warehouse storage solutions, improving packaging efficiencies
Create, modify, improve and support business reports and queries for Operations, Supply Chain, Finance and other functional groups
Directly responsible for performing work in a safe manner and maintaining a safe work environment. Is responsible for his/her safety, as well as that of others that may be at the facility, whether working or visiting. Is responsible for observing safe work practices and being proactive for reporting any unsafe conditions
Analyze internal and external processes (benchmarking) to maximize efficiency of function and systems
Requirements:
High School Diploma
Proven analytical and project management skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Solid problem-solving skills and decision-making skills
Ability to multi-task; effectively prioritize and manage projects, as well as day-to-day responsibilities
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interact across all functions (engineering, Supply Chain, etc) and at all levels of the organization
Self-motivated with positive can-do attitude and strong work ethic
Ability to use Microsoft Office software applications (Excel and Access)
2-5 years experience in supply chain. Degree in supply chain or APICS certification preferred
Experience, training or certification Lean and/or Six Sigma/Performance Excellence. Green Belt certification preferred
Understanding of Cable Products, Materials and Manufacturing processes.
Knowledge and understanding of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. SAP experience preferred
