Our client, a manufacturing company based in New Haven, is seeking a Supply Chain Analyst for a contract engagement supporting production planning and vendor coordination. This role works closely with procurement, warehouse, and production teams to keep materials flowing on schedule and to identify cost-saving opportunities across the supply chain.
The position involves daily tracking of inventory levels, purchase orders, and supplier lead times, along with regular reporting to operations leadership. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with ERP systems and spreadsheets to analyze data and flag potential disruptions before they affect production.
This is an on-site contract role at the company's New Haven facility, with potential for extension based on business needs and performance.
Responsibilities
Monitor inventory levels and reorder points across multiple product lines
Track purchase orders and coordinate with suppliers on delivery timelines
Analyze supply chain data to identify bottlenecks and cost-reduction opportunities
Prepare weekly and monthly reports for operations and procurement teams
Coordinate with warehouse staff on incoming shipments and stock discrepancies
Support production planning by forecasting material needs
Maintain accurate records within the company ERP system
Assist with vendor performance evaluations and audits
Requirements
Associate degree or equivalent experience in supply chain, business, or logistics
2 or more years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or inventory analysis
Working knowledge of ERP or MRP systems
Strong Excel skills including pivot tables and data analysis
Ability to communicate effectively with vendors and internal teams
