    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for developing, maintaining and continuously improving inventory planning parameters across the organization. The position focuses on reducing inventory investment and improving working capital while maintaining production continuity and customer service. Working within the Planning department and in close collaboration with Purchasing, Production Planning, Operations, Engineering and Finance, this role serves as the company's subject matter expert for inventory optimization methodologies.

    JOB FUNCTIONS

    • Develop and maintain inventory optimization strategies to reduce inventory while maintaining required service levels in consideration of forecast and backlog.

    • Calculate and maintain Safety Stock, Reorder Points, Reorder Quantities, EOQ, Lot Sizes, Order Multiples and planning parameters.

    • Perform ABC, XYZ and ABC/XYZ analyses to optimize inventory segmentation.

    • Analyze demand variability, forecast accuracy, supplier lead times and inventory trends.

    • Monitor inventory KPIs including Inventory Turns, Days on Hand, Excess Inventory, Obsolete Inventory, Stockouts and Supplier on time Delivery.

    • Identify slow-moving and excess inventory and coordinate reduction initiatives.

    • Support Purchasing by providing optimized planning parameters and inventory recommendations.

    • Collaborate with Production and Parts Planning to balance inventory levels and production requirements.

    • Lead inventory optimization and working capital improvement projects.

    • Develop dashboards, reports and business cases for senior management.

    • Perform root cause analyses and implement corrective actions for inventory deviations.

    • Drive Lean and continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory management.

    • Support ISO, 5S and company safety requirements.

    ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

    • Education: Bachelor’s Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Operations, or related field 

    OR 

    Work Experience covering two (2) plus years of relevant experience which would provide the required knowledge and skills and allow successful performance of the job.

    • Experience with inventory planning, production planning or supply chain management.

    • Strong knowledge of ERP systems 

    • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; experience with BI tools such as Domo or Power BI preferred.

    • Strong understanding of Safety Stock, EOQ, Reorder Point planning and forecasting.

    • Excellent analytical, communication and project management skills.

    VALUED BUT NOT REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

    • Prior experience with manufacturing systems

    • Statistical analysis and modeling

    • Machine Learning algorithms with a focus in predictive modeling

    • Database management and data warehousing concepts

    The noise levels in some manufacturing facilities frequently may exceed the normal dBA. The employee is required to wear eye protection when walking through the plant.

    Normal working schedule: Monday through Friday with a flexible work schedule available.  Core business hours are from 8am to 5pm.
