Position Overview
The Supply Chain Analytics Lead will develop, manage, and enhance analytics supporting Site Planning, Materials Operations, inventory, logistics, and Third-Party Logistics (3PL) activities.
The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on experience with advanced Excel analysis and modeling, KPI development and analysis, and Power BI. Experience within Cell & Gene Therapy, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or another cGMP-regulated environment is highly desirable.
This individual will translate complex operational data into actionable insights that improve inventory performance, service levels, cost efficiency, planning effectiveness, and overall supply chain execution.
Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain Analytics & Excel Modeling
- Perform advanced Excel-based analysis and develop analytical models supporting supply chain planning, inventory, logistics, capacity, and operational decisions.
- Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, risks, bottlenecks, cost drivers, and operational improvement opportunities.
- Develop standardized reporting that provides clear visibility into supply chain and manufacturing performance.
- Build models and analytical tools supporting scenario planning, cost optimization, spend analysis, and operational decision-making.
KPI Development & Performance Management
- Develop, monitor, and analyze KPIs across inventory, planning, logistics, scheduling, service levels, materials operations, and operational execution.
- Build and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and management reporting using Power BI and Excel.
- Analyze KPI trends, identify performance gaps, determine root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
- Establish leading indicators that support proactive risk identification and operational issue escalation.
- Prepare performance reviews and analytical presentations for management and leadership audiences.
3PL, Logistics & Inventory Analytics
- Develop performance analytics for third-party logistics providers, warehousing, transportation, and inventory operations.
- Monitor inventory accuracy, service levels, storage utilization, logistics performance, and associated cost drivers.
- Identify opportunities to reduce waste, improve service, optimize inventory, and increase logistics efficiency.
- Partner with internal teams and external providers to improve reporting accuracy and operational visibility.
Data Governance & Continuous Improvement
- Improve data quality, reporting consistency, and analytical processes across supply chain functions.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual reports and improve dashboard capabilities.
- Partner cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Procurement, Finance, Materials Operations, and other stakeholders.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives using data analysis, performance metrics, and operational insights.
Required Qualifications
- 4 6+ years of experience in supply chain analytics, operations analytics, planning, logistics, materials management, business intelligence, or related functions.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including hands-on data analysis, modeling, complex formulas, pivot tables, and analytical reporting.
- Demonstrated experience developing, analyzing, and managing KPIs, dashboards, scorecards, and operational performance metrics.
- Hands-on experience with Power BI for dashboard development, visualization, or business reporting.
- Experience translating complex datasets into clear business insights and recommendations.
- Strong understanding of supply chain, inventory management, planning, logistics, or manufacturing operations.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within Cell & Gene Therapy (CGT) operations or supply chain environments.
- Experience within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, or another cGMP-regulated manufacturing environment.
- Experience with ERP systems, financial modeling, spend analysis, and cost optimization.
- Experience supporting executive-level reporting and performance management processes.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
